Die Pension liegt sehr zentral, mitten in Vilseck. Mit dem Auto kann man direkt vor der Pension parken. Die Familie Hammer weiß, was Gastfreundschaft bedeutet, das Frühstück ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Esszimmer und die Gästezimmer sind sehr geschmack- und liebevoll eingerichtet. Zum Wohlfühlen. Der liebevoll gepflegte Garten ist eine Ruheoase, ich konnte meinen Kleinen unbesorgt spielen lassen und selber die Sonne in der Hängematte genießen. Ich empfehle diese Pension mit Familienanschluß wärmstens!

We moved to Vilseck In June 2016 because of my husband’s military orders. It was 4 of us plus a 120 pound black lab! The Hammer family went above and beyond our expectations. They treat us like family. We stayed there for over a month until we moved into our rental house. We rented the suite and the bedroom right next to it and it worked out perfectly. So thankful for this family. I highly recommend it!

This was my first time staying at a B&B Guesthouse and it was outstanding. It was a last minute reservation for a training at Vilseck and it turned out to be one of the best experience. I stayed at the suite and I was amaze with the antique decoration and beautifully designed. Elizabeth cooked and served breakfast like a Champion! Outstanding service from the owner. They went above and beyond to make sure you are fully comfortable with your stay. Great location with restaurants right around your front door. Worth every penny and I highly recommend this place.

I stayed in the suite in the Baeker-Michl for 10 days and I really loved it. For an American, the idea of casually staying in a house that is over 400 years old in a village that first dates back to at least the 10th(!) century is mind blowing. I am very glad it turned out there was no availability in other commercial lodging and I had to look for B&Bs. This one caught my eye because of its age and the fact that the Hammer family has owned the building since 1698. The Hammer family is extremely hospitable and accommodating to any desire (they particularly have a delicious, customized breakfast) and the suite is very spacious (in fact larger than my living room at home), comfortable, and historic. You will want for nothing. Thankfully there is ample parking space right in front of the building and there is free password-protected WiFi that is reliable and high-speed. The location right on the square makes it a good base from which to explore this quaint and historic village and take well developed and marked trails through the picturesque surrounding fields and farms; I can only imagine how nice it is in the spring and summer! It is just a short 15 minute drive to Grafenwoehr training areas and an hour to Nuremburg. I've never been to rural Bavaria but now I know I'll definitely be coming back, and when I do I hope the Hammers have a vacancy! Not for city folk who like hustle and bustle, this area will help you relax and enjoy at leisure. That said, for such a small town there are many good traditional German restaurants and several bars open late. My only complaint is that I couldn't stay longer!

My husband and I stayed in the suite room of the pension for three nights. The room is absolutely beautiful. It has antique furniture and is very spacious. The breakfast cooked to order is delicious. The pension also has a beautiful outdoor area filled with flowers and an oversized chess board. The owners were polite and accommodating to everything we needed. This guest house is an incredible deal.

The Hammer Family go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They are great people. The place takes you back to old-time Bavaria. Much of the house looks as it did a 100 years ago. I hope you consider staying here.
